TO ALL MY ETHICAL PEEPS...
SORRY FOR THE DELAY OF THIS, AGAIN...! I was just down the whole day yesterday and today as well that I only remembered this now. Anyways, since it's my bad, it won't be a lot. It's just going to be a journal entry...that's it!...on an A4/F12/DS/TNR...no less than one whole page but no more than one and a half page long...!
That's All Folks! Have a good weekend...or whatever's left of it. Take care and be safe always...CIAO!!!

"After an entire quarter of being in the class, what are your insights regarding the whole discussion sessions and debate-discussions and lecture sessions we have been having? Has the course been beneficial to you so far in one way or another? If so, how? If not, then why do you think so? Is it somehow allowing you to slowly see yourself, the real YOU?! Are you okay with how we work on things in class or do you have any suggestions on how you intend to proceed with it? Please be as honest as possible since we have an entire three more quarters to deal with and I intend it to be as fruitful and meaningful to you as well as to me...!"

TO MY ETHICAL PEEPS...
I must say, you had some good responses to our issue with Megan and Juan...impressive! Your comments and writings had more "depth" so to speak and it is obvious that there was more thought put in it. Good Work!
Before I continue.....all responses to this blog should be sent through my mravua@yahoo.com e-mail...!
Again...I need your "personal insight" on the situation and issue that was presented through that story. What is your general comment or notion regarding the situation? Why does it feel like the entire situation was generally wrong and yet those who were ostracizing Megan for it thought it was not? Is this issue a matter of culture? How come the parents of the other students would have been opposed to it as well? Is that even logical? (I have taken the liberty of posting the story below for your reference!)
Next...I need a "critical" rating status from you on how your members performed during your discussion. Please, as much as possible, do not be brief with this ...especially if you have previously worked with certain individuals in your group before our session today. First...give them a rating between 1 to 5...1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest...then justify your decision. Whole numbers only! (no 1/2 or 3.5 or 4 2/3...etc!)
Lastly...I would like you to rate yourself as well...between 1 to 5...and justify your own evaluation of your performance. Whole numbers only!
That's it! All posts are due to be in no later than Sunday, 07 October 2007, 12:00 noon. Don't forget...we're discussing our BURMA issue next meeting so be prepared. Yes...you may bring articles and/or notes to support your claim and opinion regarding the whole incident. Take care all of you and be safe...have a great weekend, everyone! CIAO!!!

Megan's Story
Megan, the president of Student Council, decided to invite Juan to the Prom. She had known him since he had arrived at school from Mexico in their freshman year. He was quiet and rather shy because his English wasn’t so advanced as the English of the cousins with whom he lived. Megan found out his parents were in the United States illegally and worked at menial jobs in the community in order to support the family.
Even though Juan was shy, Megan thought he had an endearing personality. He was kind and thoughtful. He often helped her with Student Council volunteer projects even though he himself was not a member of the group. Upon occasion, he would present Megan with a flower for no apparent reason at all.
When Megan announced to her friends that she was thinking of inviting Juan to the Prom, the reaction was disturbing. Her friends wanted to know why she would do that there were so many other great guys in their class. They said their dates probably wouldn’t want to share a limo with Megan and Juan or go to dinner with them before the Prom. They told her she should do what she wanted, but they knew Megan’s best friends’ parents wouldn’t be very interested in having Juan come to the after-Prom party at their home. They also said they didn’t see how she could expect to bring him to the picnic the next day. Some of them even started gossiping about Megan behind her back.
